Well, this is our first product review and while the product is pretty good once you get used to it. It is better than using Adobe's flash directly. Operationally there are a few non standardized menus that do not provide the MS feel when using the package and you have to search for the rudimentary functions, but once you get the hang of it all is well. The first issue I had was with Swish Max2 saving to a mapped drive to the same local disk. Swish seems to voluntarily corrupt the projects when saved. This "undocumented feature" can be reproduced every time but the folks running the Swish Max2 forum would hear nothing of it. Although they did fix one corrupted file, they blamed the corruption on our nemisis Microsoft. Now every program we have writes to this same drive with no problem except their package and they blame MS. How is that for gaining your trust? The folks who run the forum seem to have a "GOD" complex. They can tell you the moon is purple and you just have to believe it or they will lock you out of the support forum if you disagree and know better. We can't have the truth floating around now can we? I provided documented problems with their software. Some of the problems even their software produced an error report. They quickly denied and ignored this and still blamed MS. If you use this product it is a good product but if you have any problems what so ever, just pucker up, you probably won't get a useful answer and they will probably just blame MS anyway... |
