Is there a version of VB_DCOM_MDAC_JET_AutoSetup.exe that includes Jet SP8 for Win 9x/NT? My app didn't work with the SP7 version in the VB_DCOM_MDAC_JET_AutoSetup.exe on a Win NT workstation, but when the user upgraded to SP8 it worked fine. Is there a way for me to add it? Thanks! |

Elky Langer VB_DCOM_MDAC_JET_AutoSetup.exe and VB_DCOM_MDAC_JET_Setup.exe have both been updated 0n 3/20/04 to include the Jet 4.0 SP8 for 9x/NT and Jet 4.0 SP8 Replication Components. |

Hi Have been using VB_DCOM_MDAC_JET_AutoSetup.exe in an install package generated with InnoScript. Thanks for making both of these items freeware - has been very helpful. Is it possible to make the Jet 4.0 SP8 part of this run silently so that the M$ EULA does not come up? It is the only time the user has to perform a task in the install and would be good to have it bypassed. I think that the /QUIET commmand line switch may be able to do this for the SP8 file or am I wrong? Thanks Graeme Peters |

Graeme Peters, If the EULA screen comes up you must be installing on Win 98. Win 98 does not have the feature to run silently, so this is why the screen pops up. |

Hi Me again - hope you are well. I have been installing the Jet4 Sp8 updates manually on some machines. As I posted just above this, when using the OS Installer, I was getting the license agreement accept coming up. But I have found that installing them manually using the /q switch I don't get the license prompt (even for Win98). I wonder if this switch is missing in your installer. Can you check your OS Installer to see that the /q switch is added as a parameter to all the Jet4 Sp8 versions please? Also there is a specific Jet4.0SP8 update for Win Me that is not listed in your SP downloads on your web page - is it in the OS Installer? You can find it here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239114 Regards Graeme Peters |
