SMTPMail was developed out of the need to send
bulk emails to our customers without having to worry about what the ISP would
allow us to send. The ISP’s would limit sending of emails to 10 at a time and
we could not live with those limitations, so SMTPMail was born.
SMTPMail is
very easy to use once you get the hang of it. So to get you started we will
give you simple step by step instructions to send out your first emails.
1. Run SMTPMail (that was easy).
2. Go to List
on the main menu then select each entry to fill in the needed information.
3. Type in your From: email address and your Reply
To: address.
4. Select from the Contacts drop down list the contacts you want to send emails to.
5. Select the Category: of the contacts (optional).
6. Type in your Subject: for the email.
7. Either type in your email text in the area
just below the Addr: box or select File->Load RTF File to load a pre
typed template of the text you want to send. This will load into the box for
editing. If you right click on the email text box you will get a list of items
from the Hyperlink selection area
that you can click on to insert into the email text.
8. Add any addition email addresses not in
your Outlook Folder to the Addr: box
separated by semi colons (Optional).
9. Click Refresh
to load the Contact list selected. You may need to answer Outlook security
question to allow the program to access the Contact list.
10. Select the items from the Contact list to
where you want to send this email to.
11. Press Send.
12. SMTPMail will automatically replace the
hyperlinks with the text you supplied and will send the email to the email
addresses you have selected.
WARNING:
If you have not deselected the TEST check box, all the emails will be sent to
your From: email address.
